A Gift for The Village

a documentary film about honor and love -
from one side of the planet to the other
sending ripples from Virginia to Nepal
and into hearts and minds, globally

June of 2007, 7 friends left the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia on a trip to Nepal. Their mission was to deliver a painting, by local artist Jane Vance, of an amazing man in a remote village which sits at 12,000 feet in the Himalayas. The film that documents this cultural exchange is now finished, and in the summer of 2010, the film was carried back to Nepal and had its world premiere in Kathmandu.

This film premiered in America on September 16, 2010, at the Taubman Museum in Roanoke, Virginia before beginning an exciting journey around the country. Watch fpr this film coming to your area. Your donations support the educational foundation that has been formed for children in Nepal by Amchi Lama Tsampa-la, the honored subject of the thangka painting that our team hand-carried to Jomson, Nepal, as A Gift For The Village.
